Teaching for meaningful learning using technology (ML/T) is a complex activity. These attributes describe what teachers and students do in classrooms that promote meaningful learning supported by technology. Experimentation with these ideas and successive approximations to implementing these attributes are expected. This document serves the following purposes for Project TIME:
  • Brings further clarity and definition to our vision of meaningful learning using technology.
  • Promotes dialogue among educators about teaching for ML/T.
  • Provides a foundation for dialogue within the larger community about ML/T.
  • Creates a framework for educators to reflect on their professional development needs and growth.
  • Provides a guide for ML/T unit development.
  • Serves as a focal point for communication about the project’s key ideas.
  • Serves as the foundation for project external evaluation instruments: classroom observation, curriculum unit assessment, professional development assessment, and interview protocol.
